Design with a Strong User Focus
My name is Camilla, and I recently graduated from the Interaction Design - Information Design program at Mälardalen University. After working as a dedicated preschool teacher for over 20 years, I made the decision to pursue my newfound passion for interaction design and continue my professional development in this exiting field.
I have a deep love for digital design and have been interested in computers and IT since the internet took its first steps into people’s homes in the late 1990s. Witnessing the evolution of technology over the years, from speaking to the most knowledgeable individuals to becoming more accessible and appealing to all users, has been inspiring and has led me to take the plunge into a world I have long been drawn to. During my education, I have gained experience working with programs such as Figma, Miro, Adobe XD, Blender, Visual Studio Code, Adobe InDesign, SketchUp, and Webflow, which has been incredibly fun and rewarding.
Furthermore, my years as a preschool teacher have equipped me with skills and experiences that will also be of great value in the field of interaction design. As a preschool teacher, I developed a deep understanding of human behavior and learning processes, as part of my work included careful observations and analyses of reactions and behaviors to gain insights into how different people interact with their environment and the interfaces they encounter. These skills have proven to be invaluable in my journey to becoming an interaction designer and early instilled me the importance of tasks such as user research, usability testing, prototyping, and frequent iteration, which I particularly appreciate.
If you are interested in my work and what else I can do, please feel free to send me an email or reach out to me at LinkedIn. I’ll be happy to share my ideas with you.
